What’s a chaplet, you ask?

A chaplet is a single week rosary: a cross, invitatory bead, one cruciform, and one group of seven weeks beads. Pray around the circle four times, it might be as if you had a 33-bead rosary. Small enough to be a key ring or kept in a purse or the pocket of a briefcase. We got this idea from a friend who has a Roman Catholic chaplet – one decade instead of five.

Dissappointing

The beads arrived with a manual for praying anglican prayer beats picturing a totally different form of prayer beads than what I ordered. No mention of the seven beats ring that I ordered. I cannot find a guide to using the beads anywhere. I would’ve thought that there would’ve been an instruction manual for the beads I ordered not for other Anglican or Catholic beads.

Rob, after reading your review, I fear we mailed your chaplet without a small tan piece of paper tucked into the velour pouch? It reads,
-----------------------------
What's a chaplet?
chap.let/' Chaplet
noun: chaplet; plural noun: chaplets
1. a garland or wreath for a person's head.
2. a part of a rosary of beads used for counting prayers.

One Roman Catholic version of a chaplet is a single decade rosary: a crucifix, one Our Father bead and one decade of 10 beads.

Our Anglican chaplet is a single week rosary: a cross or labyrinth, invitatory beads, one cruciform, and one group of seven weeks beads. Pray around the circle four times, it might be as if you had a 33-bead Anglican rosary. Small enough to be a key ring or kept in a purse or the pocket of a brief case.
-----------------------------
There are a number of websites with instructions for praying the Roman Catholic chaplet, did not find one for an Anglican chaplet. Regrets.

One distinct difference between the two different chaplets: the Roman Catholic 5-decade rosary dates back to the 13th century AD and so I assume the chaplet is 100s of years old. Anglican Prayer Beads or Rosaries date back to the 1980s. The Anglican chaplet is therefore pretty new. The POINT: You can develop your own prayer tradition around a one-week chaplet.

ALL THIS SAID, I am sending you a 33-bead Bayong rosary ... to help with the prayer tradition development process. So sorry you were dissappointed.

A Pleasure to Use

I chose this chaplet because a previous reviewer said he found the larger beads easier to use and it has proved to be the same for me. I wish there were some 33 bead rosaries that were made with 8mm/10mm beads rather than 6mm/ 8mm.
I am very pleased with my purchase . It's well made and the wooden beads are nice to feel. It would be good if there were some chaplets available with a cross instead of just a labyrinth.

I chose this chaplet because a previous reviewer said he found

A wonderful blessing

This Chaplet is very beautiful…I love the simplicity of wood as well as the earthy texture of the beads! I would highly recommend this chaplet to anyone’s collection. Someday you should add a cross as an option.

A True Joy

I recently ordered this chaplet on a whim. Since its arrival I have been reaching for it more and more. I own a couple Full Circle rosaries and I've been very happy with them, but the older I get, the harder it is to circumnavigate them due to the smallish beads. I don't have that problem with this chaplet. It has larger beads, and there is more space between those beads for my big, old fingers. I truly enjoy the feel of the wood, and know I'll end up buying more of these in the future.

I do wish that there was the option of purchasing a model with a Celtic cross though. I personally would prefer that.
