Bayong Wood 10 mm Beads
What’s a chaplet, you ask?
A chaplet is a single week rosary: a cross, invitatory bead, one cruciform, and one group of seven weeks beads. Pray around the circle four times, it might be as if you had a 33-bead rosary. Small enough to be a key ring or kept in a purse or the pocket of a briefcase. We got this idea from a friend who has a Roman Catholic chaplet – one decade instead of five.
I recently ordered this chaplet on a whim. Since its arrival I have been reaching for it more and more. I own a couple Full Circle rosaries and I've been very happy with them, but the older I get, the harder it is to circumnavigate them due to the smallish beads. I don't have that problem with this chaplet. It has larger beads, and there is more space between those beads for my big, old fingers. I truly enjoy the feel of the wood, and know I'll end up buying more of these in the future.
I do wish that there was the option of purchasing a model with a Celtic cross though. I personally would prefer that.
These beads are so comforting as you hold them while you pray. The tiny beads are iridescent in between the bayong beads in contrast to the smooth brown wooden beads. Quite lovely in their simplicity.
