This 33-Bead Prayer Bead strand features Bloodstone beads paired with a sterling silver Latin Cross. The deep green stones are accented with blood-red flecks, and occasional variations in green or touches of red and deep tan give each strand a unique character. Legend holds that Bloodstone was formed when drops of blood fell and stained jasper at the foot of the cross where Jesus was crucified. Bloodstone is believed to aid in overcoming distress and supporting calm focus during prayer and meditation. It is also one of the precious stones associated with the month of March.
